Traveled to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument to celebrate Easter with twenty friends. We camped, hiked, enjoyed a camp happy-hour; and gathered around the fire pit for nightly conversations. We welcomed Easter morning with the annual, magnificent, and scrumptious breakfast pot-luck: Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, chorizo, potatoes, assorted fresh fruit, bagels, assorted juices, a variety of breads, muffins, including homemade pear and plum preserves, cream cheese, and butter.
A friend has organized this Easter event for the past 17 years. YES, she has organized this event for 17 years!
Following are photos I captured from the weekend.

A hike to the Lost Cabin Mine brought us to these abandoned shoes; migrants?

Another pair of abandoned shoes not too far from where we spotted the first pair; migrants?
