Me: 1) Attend the Heard Museum American Indian Student Art Show and Sale; 2) enjoy a glass of wine while waiting for preview showing; 3) buy a student painting. Priceless! The student who painted this received a second place ribbon; I was attracted to the vibrant colors.

As a Heard Museum member I was able to view and buy student art during a preview (today) 5:30 p.m.  However, the public must wait until Saturday and Monday (April 6 and April 8). The students’ art show has lots of pottery, baskets, jewelry, beadwork, paintings and sculptures. Native American student artists come from all over the United States to take part in this annual event. One can buy beautiful art, pottery, baskets, etc., for a reasonable price. I was able to capture a few photos of bronze sculptures displayed on the grounds of the Museum while walking back to my vehicle.
