During my 2011 trip to Sicily, I made it a point to visit Palermo’s City park. To my pleasure, I could tell it was truly a family park; children playing, parents interacting with their children; picnics, family games. Very refreshing as it wasn’t the weekend, it was mid-week and the park was filled with families, lovers, old, young! This mother-daughter image caught my eye and I just HAD to photograph them. Clearly, it is obvious they are enjoying their time together – very simple, very touching.
