During my visit to Sicily in 2011, I made it a point to visit the city/town of Selinunte, which was a two-plus hour bus ride from Palermo. My goal was to visit the ruins of the so-called acropolis and its many temples (much has been reconstructed).  You see, one seems to think that Athens, Greece as the only city known for its acropolis and many temples – that was my way of thinking. Not so! I managed to capture many photos of Selinunte‘s ruins.
