I received an invite from a friend to hike the 9.85 mile South Mountain 620 Trail Loop today. Let me say this was a real butt-kicker, starting at 734 feet – 1,896 average elevation gain! Weather-wise it was a perfect hiking day; temperatures in the mid-50’s and breezy. The day started with clear sky but would soon become cloudy towards the end of the hike. I managed to capture only three photos. 1) The road ends where the trail begins; 2) help yourself to a map; 3)yes, one photo shows a trail marker with two, yes two, pair of Levis wrapped around the marker; talk about having a ‘visual.’

The road ends where the trail head begins!
