Our intent was to bird along the River, walk slowly and observe; our goal was to locate a rare Arizona bird who was recently sited in this area.  As a newbie, I cannot remember the name of the rare Arizona bird!  Visitors to the area who passed us continuously asked “Did you see the horses? Are you here to see the horses?”  We had no idea wild horses occupied the area; we were on a mission to locate that rare bird.  We did manage to locate the rare bird BUT could not prove the siting because my camera was in the trunk of my friend’s vechicle.  Returning to the vehicle, visitors gladly pointed us in the direction of where the wild horses were.  With camera in hand I captured this devoted Dad and his family!
