Hiked the Cone Mountain Loop with many fellow hikers at Brown’s Ranch in the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy. The hike was advertised as a wildflower hike but sadly our group did not see a great deal of wildflowers! We did see Pink Fairy Duster, Ocotillo, Paper Bag Bush, lots of Brittle Bush. The saguaro is in its early stage of flowering.
The four mile round trip Cone Mountain Loop is a very easy hike. The trail, with its gently rolling hills, is well-groomed and very scenic.
Following are photos I captured on the Cone Mountain Loop.
