This blogger was on a waitlist to participate in a Bird Walk at the Gilbert Riparian Preserve. To my surprise (someone dropped out) received an email from the Desert Rivers Audubon guide inviting me to attend if I still had an interest. YES!
Checked in at the Water Ranch in time for the for the scheduled 6:00 a.m. bird walk, approximately 90 minutes in length. We viewed close to 35 different species which, I was told, was not bad considering the time of year and weather. Following are photos I managed to captured during the walk.
