Following is a captured hummingbird in the Hassayampa Preserve, Wickenburg Arizona. One of the volunteers approached a young birder in our group; he asked this young birder if she would like to assist in “waking” the hummingbird. The volunteer gently placed the hummingbird in the young birder’s hand, rubbed its belly and in the blink of an eye the hummingbird was in flight! Amazing!
