Our goal for today (Sunday): hike Sandy’s Canyon in Flagstaff, Arizona which is a part of the Arizona Trail.  Five excited and enthusiastic hikers drove from Phoenix to Flagstaff only to meet torrential downpour the entire two-hour drive – exhausting!  Following are photos captured during our Sunday hike.  We pulled the plug on this hike only because of the ever-so-near lightning and thunder! We hiked back to the vehicle in water up to our ankles!
