Did you know: The Grand Canyon’s length is 277 river miles? The average depth of the river is 1 mile?  The Colorado River‘s length within the Canyon is 277 miles and average depth is 40 feet. Amazing, simply amazing! I managed to capture the following photo during a lightning storm on the South Rim.  Everyone should visit the South Rim of the Canyon! Lots to see and do!
