Just look at this guy, isn’t he handsome? He was perched on a fence in the Desert Botanical Garden and very vocal! He certainly attracted a sizeable crowd! Did you know Gambel’s Quail are monogamous? The female will lay 10-12 eggs usually concealed in vegetation; incubation is 21-23 days. The chicks are able to leave the nest with their parents within hours of hatching!
