Currently on stage at the Phoenix Theatre, La Cage Aux Folles is a play based on the story of a flamboyant gay couple who must pretend to be straight for one night – to fool the conservative political family of their son’s fiance’. “Georges is the suave owner of a glitzy drag club on the French Riviera. He is romantically involved/partnered with Albin (stage name ZaZa) and living a charmed life. The message to the audience: It’s about people who mean well, who care about others and are true to their “self”, it’s also about acceptance, each belief. It’s warm, and funny and a MUST see!! Highly recommended!
