Motorists driving east or west on Indian Bend Road in Scottsdale are treated to a spectacular view of five 14-foot tall gargoyle horses on the north side of Indian Bend Wash.  The horses act as a fountain when the Indian Bend wash floods; water flows from the horses’ mouths directly into the wash during monsoon storms.
